[Solved]What does this statement //! [number] mean?

In many project I have seen so far some programmers use //! [1] //! [2]...//![n] in their code but I have no idea why they will be used.
I'll be grateful if someone point out the reason of use them. -
Possibly they are marking snippets for "doxygen":http://www.stack.nl/~dimitri/doxygen/manual/commands.html#cmdsnippet or qdoc?
