Hello, I just installed Qt 5.0.2 on OS X. I am new to Qt.
I have a Mac Book Pro with 16 GB of memory.

When I create the first sample program in the tutorial (Qt Quick, .qml file) and click on the design mode to to edit the .qml file it takes a very long time to switch between Edit and Design mode, While the rainbow wait icon is spinning I have checked my processor and available memory and have plenty of both.

Is there anything that can be done to improve performance? Is there something wrong with my configuration. I tried the same install on my Mac Mini and encountered the same poor performance? In some cases the activity monitor indicates that the Qt is not responding? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Joe

Same with me on a iMac late 2009 with 4 GB of RAM and 2.6 GHz Core i5 CPU. This is unbelievably slow, does anyone have a hint how to fix that? Any Configuration options to check?

      Thanks,
      Andreas

I also meet the same problem in my mac book pro(15" retina). I believe there are bugs with QML designer.

        Anyone can explain why ?

        Thanks
