QT 5 can't find VBSE 2010 compiler?
-
Hi guys, just trying to get up and running here. I downloaded and installed QT5, and then Microsoft Visual Basic Express 2010.
Then I created a new project in Qt GUI Application with these options:

But when I try to run the program, I get the error message: "Qt Creator needs a compiler set up to build. Configure a compiler in the kit options."
these are my options in the build and run kit options:

So it looks as though Qt is not recognizing MS Visual Basic compiler. How can I fix?

Hi,
You have little warning symbols (the yellow triangle) next to the listed Kits. Hover your mouse over the symbol -- what message do you get?
P.S. Qt is based on C++, so it uses Visual C++, not Visual Basic.

Ok I installed visual C++ express and it works! Thanks!
