Qt4.8.4: VS2012 SP1 XP Target - how?

After patching the files described in https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-28332, Im still not able to compile apps for WinXP. Which additional settings must be done?

Im building Qt from sources.

What is the error you are getting? I probably won't be able to help, but maybe someone will if you provide more info. And fix link - it has , at the end which breakes it.

VS2012 builds for Vista and later by default. So it's not surprising that my Qt app won't run on XP, since it is built with the wrong Windows SDK.

Which additional configure parameters are required that Qt is built with the XP compatible SDK?
