Can QtQuick 2.0 run with with directfb/linuxfb?
-
The Qt5 beta1 is shipped with xcb, directfb and linuxfb platform plugins. The QtQuick 2.0 works well in xcb mode.
Does QtQuick could run in DirectFB and linuxfb mode, too? If yes, does it adopt mesa for opengl or something else? -
I've been testing xcb only, but I think FB is also good. XCB is certainly more tested. And yes, it uses mesa, so you can get decent OGL in software, too :)

Hi
I'm also trying to sort this out with QtQuick and linuxfb.
I'm running one of the qml examples ../examples/webkitqml/flickrview like:
@./flickrview -platform linuxfb@and I am always getting this error:
@This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "xcb".@
From this I suspect it needs the xcb is that correct ?

Maybe you need to recompile it for LinuxFB... I am not sure, this is outside of my comfort zone ;)

Hi Sierdzio
I have compiled the framework with linuxfb support and I can indeed run the browsers (browser and fancybrowser) which are provided in examples/webkitwidgets/
Sierdzio, do you know of somebody that could maybe comment on this ?
