    Necessitas alpha 4 is now available for download. There is no information on whether multimedia features have finally been implemented thou, which is fairly important, at least for me.

      Digia said it would ' quickly ' enable Qt on Android and ios. I thought they may work with the exist ios and Android ports, from Ian and Bogdan. No information on the ios port. There site shows 20% completion for a long time. This may be still in consideration, once they fully acquire Qt from Nokia.

          @Jayakrishnan..

          "Quickly" can be a fairly relative term, especially considering what we'd like to expect as "quickly" includes the actual acquisitions of the framework, which will likely take some time itself. I wouldn't hold my breath literally :)

          I wouldn't be surprised if Digia decides to do a port of Qt5 instead (which would mean wait for Qt5 to be finalized too). Necessitas is using Qt4, which is not a bad thing on its own, but it might also be using the old platform infrastructure instead of QPA/Lighthouse.

              Not quite. The deal should now be officially finished. Actually making it all work - as I imagine - might take some more time. This is not easy stuff. 100+ people need to have their paperwork updated, trademarks have to be transferred, new management structure built, new targets set... but maybe my imagination is too vibrant here. There is a possibility it will be finished quickly and easily. We just don't know, that's my point :)

                  Any news about Qt for Android? May be just rumors... I'm waiting for official Android support with holding breath.

                    I think the timeline is Q2 of 2013, I think I read it on Digia blog, not sure.

                      In short, don't hold your breath (literally) - the Qt blog is very quiet since Digia took over, at least compared to before, my guess is there isn't much going on to report of.

                      I would be nice to have some more information and perhaps a nice roadmap of what exactly is Digia planning on and when it is to be expected...

                        Digia would like to port Qt5 to android and ios, but Qt5 is developing.
                        Maybe we wouldn't get any excited informations before Qt5 release.

                              Good news, do anybody know some good news related to ios?
                              As an indi, I would choose ios as a platform rather than android
                              since android run on too many kind of hardware.

                                We should know something after the Qt dev conference. There is a session on Qt roadmap on Nov 13th.
