As long as you have the required xcb libraries / dev packages.

You can use either x11 or wayland as the windows system on linux, Qt 5 supports both.
x11 on Qt5 needs some extra libraries compared to x11 on Qt4

I don't think there's a difference - if your embedded linux distribution includes the required libraries then yes.
