@pragati: blocking email is silly
Even though I am not sure wether you are still blocked or unblocked...as in my profile you are not in the ignoring list...hope this time I receive an answer if you guys are willing to help instead of mocking around
What? Andre has quite clearly stated he wants to help and has tried doing so, but was unable to...
Besides, throwing in a joke (and such a light joke at that) can hardly - IMO - be considered "mocking". Andre did a lot to contact you, there was no response, and I decided to lighten up his day.

I still cannot see how calling you a philosopher can be considered impolite... But OK, to prevent this from going further: I'm sorry, I did mean no harm.

I'm sorry if you feel insulted, I had no intention of doing so. I also apologize for guessing your gender incorrectly. The name does not give it away (for me, I don't know much about India), and in case of doubt, male is usually the right guess in tech-channels like this. In this case it was not.
I really could not respond to your emailed messages. I got a message that "this user does not accept receiving email" when I tried to do so on more than one occasion.
You could of course not have known that I was on holiday, but the point was that you also need to cut people a bit of slack in responding to messages, especially in the summer (and end-of-year) periods as lots of people take vacations then.
Also note that asking special attention for your question by sending people emails is a tricky tactic to use at all. I usually respond to any emails asking for personal assistance with an offer of a consultancy contract. That is: I provide free help & advice if and when I feel like it on public channels, but I will only respond to private support queries in the context of a commercial consultancy agreement. Many people would just completely ignore these queries, or find it a reaon to start ignoring you any of your questions on any channel (public or private).
On "mocking about": this is the Lounge forum, where almost anything goes. Further more, I am the master of my own time, and I spend it when and where I like. If I prefer to spend it "mocking about" instead of answering your questions, that's up for me to decide. Unless you are interested in a consultancy agreement, of course...
So, I may, or may not, look into your original question again. If and when I feel like it. The good thing is: there are many other very helpful people active in the community, so whether I want to (or even are able to) answer it does not stop you from getting your answer anyway.
I hope you'll continue to have fun using Qt, and enjoy being a part of it's vibrant community that lives here on DevNet and elsewhere...

Honestly I am not happy at all. This is not the first time I am dealing with these kind of comments in this community.
I don't get it that why people don't understand that no one can be skilled in each and every tool or software or any kind of skills, i think this is why we seek help from others. Regarding your approach to reply only public or private queries, I was not aware of. If you have noticed i have put the same query in a public forum previously as well. There was no response and since in the earlier post where the person who had asked was facing the same problem and you were the only one who had replied to him, I mailed to you to get you in notice of this problem because I thought you were already aware of this kind of problem so may be it will be easy for you to understand.Anyways I don't mind if you guys wont reply or help, because I am determined so will get an another way to solve it with or without help.
Thanks for everyone's time

pragati: I think there has been a misunderstanding here. Nobody was "mocking around" and we don't like people bashing against other people (especially without any reason to do so).
What Andre was trying to say was simply that you somehow disabled private messages from other people, which simply means that he can't reply to your messages even if he wants to.
(There's a bug report for this particular issue -- i.e. warn the user to reenable the private messages).
I don't think there was any problem with sending him a private message -- that's why one leaves them enabled, right? -- but you must understand that private help is quite different from public help. When dealing with a forum run by volunteers that offer help in their spare time, it's unfair to escalate the help requests to a personal level. I also receive requests of help but usually tell people to write their questions in the forums so that they aren't lost and other people can contribute too.

I am not persuading anyone to reply, I am just being open to whatever I had faced here. As I told I was neither aware that a member was blocked nor about the public or private issue. The way it was portrait I just made it clear that if you feel like to help you are welcome if not I will find some other way
No harsh feelings for anyone out here. I think discussion ended with the reply by sierdzio....

You did not block receiving mails from Andre (individually), you blocked receiving mails from anyone ! This is what Andre was kind of unhappy about, because he had no chance to answer your mail. This is because in your profile settings you disabled the "Accept email from other members of this site" option in the "Email Settings" section (Go to Edit profile and look for these settings). Creating this thread was his way of trying to inform you about this circumstance.
