Children vs. resources
-
I have a question to the following
bq. The children property contains the list of visual children of this item. The resources property contains non-visual resources that you want to reference by name.
that I found (for example) in the reference for "QML Item element":http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/4.8/qml-item.html#children-prop
What criterion determines in which of the lists an item appears? Is it the "visible property":http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/4.8/qml-item.html#visible-prop ?

According to the document "All visual items in Qt Declarative inherit from Item". I would think that items which inherit directly or indirectly from the Item Element are visual children. Since Timer and Connections are not inherited from Item, they are non-visual.

Ah thanks. I understood it as "all items inherit from Item" that is, I seemingly overlooked the word "visual".
