Native c++ windows phone

Sounds interesting, but as with every Microsoft announcement there should be a healthy serving of sceptisism. A release with " ... the next developer release of Visual Studio" usually means "with the next release of the MSVC compiler", which could be an indication that it is the proprietary C++-like stuff which isn't C++ but is called C++. I think we will see some changes with Apollo, which is said to switch from the CE to the NT kernel, and there will be something like the WRL for Windows 8, which would indeed mean native C++ support.
Whatever - it is most probably a good sign for all Qt developers, as we are a little closer to Qt on Windows Phone 7 (which is still a shelf warmer, but who knows what time will bring).

I agree. And I think this is connected to the Nokia and Microsoft union. Hope Qt will offer Windows Phone portability as now it is the case for Symbian.
