Windows Store

Hi All,
I recently saw a Microsoft blog post about "submitting Windows 8 apps and Windows Store":http://blogs.msdn.com/b/windowsstore/archive/2012/02/13/submitting-your-windows-8-apps.aspx What do you think about it? It should also accept Qt apps, right?

As far as I know only Metro apps can be published through the Windows Store; native applications can only be listed (they just link to the creators website). So as long as we can't create Metro apps with Qt (which was announced to happen somewhen) we can't publish them through the store.
However, things are a bit vague when it comes to Windows Store and facts change nearly on a weekly basis - so please correct me if you have any further news.
An additional interesting fact is that the Windows Store won't accept duplicate application names - so if you want to publish your application XYZ somewhen through the Windows Store make sure you reserve your name now.

Well in Digia blog they say
"We have also already contributed some of the found Windows 8 development environment related issues to the Qt Project, and are looking forward to continue this co-operation."
and
"Digia intends to work actively in the Qt Project in order to create the Metro components for easy deployment of Qt applications on Windows 8."
Let's wait and see :-)
