No Qt help
-
Hello,
I recently created a new user account in my Win7 computer and I want to use QtCreator on it.
The first problem that I incountered was the absence of all the shortcuts whether on the Desktop or the Windows menu. But I solved that by recreating others from the installation folder.
However now I can't get the help inside QtCreator and that means that I have to start a web browser each time.
When I launch the help I get: Page not found "qthelp://com.nokia.qtcreator.241/qdoc//doc/index.html"
Thanks!
Regards,

Where did you get your copy of Creator?
-
I'm sorry I didn't understand your question..
I'm using QtCreator 2.4.1 that I installed using the web installer
-
OK, so did you install the Qt Creator manual?
-
Yes, I choosed the help during the install.
Actually on the other user account, I have no issues with the help! It's only with the new user. -
Hmmm... You can register the help files in Tools->Options->Help->Documentation and add the .qch files you can find in the SDK. Maybe those were not properly set up for everybody.
Please also "consider filing a bug report":http://bugreports.qt-project.org/ against the SDK about the issue.

Ok! Now it's working! Thanks!
Can this be due to the creation of the user account after the install of Qt?

Same problem here & fixed in the same way. However, I'm running Debian testing rather than Windows.

Logged as a bug with Debian #740126. The maintainer if of the opinion that it is an upstream issue.
