Qt 4.8 installation

I have two questions:

Where Qt 4.8. locates after installation? (linux, ubuntu)

What time usually make's qt 4.8?

ad 1:
It depends. If you build it manually, it installs in what you've given to the --prefix argument, or in /usr/local/Trolltech/Qt-4.8.0 by default. For the prebuilt binaries, I don't know.

ad 2:
depends on your machine. On my 8 core mac it taks about an hour and a half.
