    Any thoughts!

How to do in QT - generate sound using some parameters(e.g. frequency) and then play same time.(I have aplay available).

    Can I use QSound?

I am getting this error - Default format not supported - trying to use nearest
using null output device, none available

I want to use aplay to play sound.

Any thoughts how to give aplay as default output device.

You just need to run example and choose default from the combo box. Do you have installed sound cards on your system ? And maybe you also need first to look at this example: http://developer.qt.nokia.com/doc/qt-4.8/multimedia-audiodevices.html

Yes this is what I exactly did. I had a problem with sound card.
