From anyone that has access to a NOKIA N9: does it include Skype application?

Moved to The Lounge, as it is no Qt tropic and also no programming topic, Gerolf

Are we talking about an application or just integration with the OS? Also, if there is an application, is it capable of video calls using the front video camera? :-)

There seems to be an application and an OS integration (it connects to the address book if I interpret it correctly).

Gerolf and Volker, thank you both for your answers. :-)

I am mainly interested in the application.

If someone who has an N9 could clarify if the application uses the front camera, please do so.

                  Hi,

I tested skype on my N9:
it looks a bit strange to me, I did not find my contacts as list and there was no video phone, just normal skype talk. And I could not start a skype talk via skype, perhaps that must be done via contacts?

The page, Gerolf linked to, is available in "English":https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA11050/ too.

                      The content is bascially this:

The following features are supported by Skype on your Nokia N9:

                      • Skype-to-Skype calling
                      • Calling landlines and mobiles (requires a little Skype Credit or a subscription)
                      • Participating in conference calls
                      • Sending texts (requires a little Skype Credit)
                      • Instant Messaging
                      • Group Instant Messaging
                      • Adding and removing contacts
                      • Receiving calls to Online Numbers
                      • Call Forwarding

The following features are not supported:

                      • Skype video calling
                      • Voicemail
                      • Sending files
