    how to write something in a line edit and when the user start typing or just click the cursor it disappear??like the one of password in the startup of windows =)

        its not working fine...it do the job but after you click on the line edit...i need it from the beginning

          What is wrong with setPlaceholderText? According to doc it "makes the line edit display a grayed-out placeholder text as long as the text() is empty and the widget doesn't have focus". Do you need something else?
