LOL, thought I'd leave a random message, hehe.. Okay, if I can "Learn" how to install Gentoo Linux, why am I having such a hard time "Learning" Qt? LOL, it just doesn't make sense to me..

I use Gentoo and Qt/C++. They are two different albeit related skill sets. Which parts of Qt are you having trouble with?

I think people ofter mix "hard time learning C++" with "hard time learning Qt". If you master the former one Qt has a very shallow learning curve and one of the best documentation and example sets I've seen so far, especially when compared to other well known library sets like Boost.

However, there are a lot of people here at the QDN who can help you with both - so if there are any specific questions feel free to ask ;-)

I tried to install Gentoo in Virtualbox on Arch Linux, got as far as Compiling Kernel, it stopped with an error, =(.

Programming is a bit harder than installing a Linux distribution, even if it is one that is as hard to install as Gentoo.

Yeah, I'm kinda depressed about it, =(. I am not sure if it's a bad burn, bad download, or if maybe Gentoo is hating Virtualbox.

Man... You installed Arch Linux and you have troubles with anything else?????
My experience with Arch was awful. Installed it in VirtualBox with Fedora host, it took me one day to download and configure all the things about arch and the only thing I needed it for was to support my app for ONE of my users, lol. Haven't used it ever since, might have deleted it as well ^^

And I agree with Lukas, Qt with C++ was (and still is) a pleasure to learn.

LOL, Ironic isn't it? =P.. I don't know, I have a good friend on AIM who I was telling, maybe it's not all that hard, and it's just me making it harder than it really is..
