Qt 4.7.4 help files mangled
-
I recently upgraded to Qt 4.7.4/QT Creator 2.3.1 from 4.7.1 / 2.0.1 on a MacBook Air (OSX 10.6.8). Strangely the bundled help files are mangled. Specifically it appears that the stylesheets are missing ie the help pages look like plain HTML with default formatting.
Indeed under /Developer/Documentation/Qt/Html there was no style folder yet the html files try to include style/style.css. Actually I have tried creating the style folder and copied into it the css files from the help pages on the Qt website. This almost did the trick but (1) the formatting was not quite correct (eg no margin around the body text) and (2) this had no effect when viewing the help pages from within Qt Creator - I assume this is because Creator references the qch files which, incidentally, are also displayed without formatting from Qt Assistant.
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the latest versions of Qt/Qt Creator but this made no difference. I assume that this must a configuration problem on my machine as I have found no references to this problem elsewhere. Hope someone has an idea what's going since, while not a show stopper, this problem is very irritating!!!

Hi,
Have the same problem, mentionned in a recent post.
I mentionned, it is not q question of reinstalling Qt creator, but th problem remains in the Qt distribution.
So i am now trying 4.8rc candidate, you could also go back to 4.7.3 -
Thanks for that. I agree with you in principle that it is a distribution problem but the reason I'm sceptical is that if this was indeed the case then surely far more people would have complained about it.

Continuing in Tools forum - where this topic should have been in the first place...

Ignore the above post about moving to another forum - understandably this was not appreciated. Sorry for the newbie mistake! I now know how to add a topic to a category so this should now appear under the Tools forum. So please do let me know if you have any ideas about the mangled help files in this topic here.
