Page title for forum topics

  • It will be good to add category name when viewing topic page. Sometimes is useful to know where current topic is located.

  • It's in the breadcrumb, not good enough? Or do you mean something else by category?

  • i feel breadcrumb is good enough and refer to the same in such circumstances

  • I am not entirely sure I understand what you're trying to do. Can you try to explain it a bit more? Are we talking about the forum? The wiki? The tag search?

  • I mean page title in title html tag which is shown as title of browser window.

  •
I mean page title in title html tag which is shown as title of browser window.
but for browsers like chrome, the real estate available on the title bar (when using multiple tabs) is limited, so not fully sure if including forum name with the thread title is the best idea.

  • chetankjain, what do you say about replacing "Qt DevNet forums" with category name ?

Ah! for that one, I'm ok :) I think thats a good idea instead of always showing "Qt DevNet forums"

  • We should have the word "Forum" in there, especially for Google search results.

    Maybe something like this?

<code>Page title for forum topics | Forum: Beta testing | Qt Developer Network:</code>

  • yes I think that looks better. But why the : in the end ...

  • Yeah, great, I'm agreed.

  • Ok, adding it to the list, cheers :)

a sneak peak into this list for a certain few users?? ;)
