Maven Biotechnologies is a privately-held early-stage life-sciences venture located in Monrovia, CA. The company has developed LFIRE™ [pronounced : el - fire] - a flexible, cost-effective, high density imaging technology for the multiplexed, quantitative, label-free, real-time characterization of biomarker binding reactions. The platform addresses applications in biomedical research, drug discovery, immunodiagnostics, bio-defense, biological manufacturing and other high growth fields.

Maven has an open position to participate in writing the control software for our commercial bench-top instrumentation. The project will involve every aspect of development, including analysis, design and testing. We need someone who’s intelligent, educated (many here have the highest qualifications from the best universities), passionate, determined, robust and fun. Team-working and good social skills are essential, beyond the technical aspects of the role. The project is already well underway, so you’ll have to be very dedicated to get up to speed. Job Requirements :

M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering. Fluent in C/C++/C#
Good team working and social skills! (important)
Fast but rigorous (especially with documentation)
Hard working

Experience with as many of the following as possible is essential ( we can’t spend time educating someone )

{ Trolltech Qt. Git version control, doxygen, Kitware products (ITK, VTK, CMake) }
multi-threaded programming
image analysis algorithms - segmentation, feature extraction, pattern processing
bioinformatics - microarrays, proteomics
