    Hi,

is there any practical way of renaming wiki pages? I've started creating a wiki presence for PySide and realized my page naming is a bit awkward. I'd like to rename them (and have any backlinks renamed while at it). I believe this is possible with more advanced wiki platforms - how about QtDN?

Related to this, is it possible to get a backlink listing of some specific page?

    Cheers,

    ma.

Ouch - appears that you can't really do renames the difficult way either since you can't delete existing pages. So, old copies would be left floating around indefinitely. :-(

I think you can ask admins to remove obsolete pages.

I saw you filling the wiki with PySide content. Nice!

There is the option to redirect pages but the admins can also rename or delete them. Easiest way is probably to report the pages you want to have renamed or deleted. We will find that in our email and fix it asap.

Alexandra, we fully intend to hijack the QtDN wiki with our Python rambling! :-)

Anyway, if you're taking feature requests, wiki page renaming would be at the top of my list. Alternatively, I'll just keep reporting my obsolete pages until you either ban me or implement the feature. ;-)

Hehe. The feature is there it's just not accessible for non-admins. We will discuss the options on our side.

For now just keep on reporting. I doubt you will be able push me beyond my means. ;)

Maybe this has changed meanwhile - the rename function seems to be active for normal editors of pages, visible at edit time on the second line under the memo (after edit summary) labeled Redirect to a more accurate wiki page: is this right? I've no found a sandbox for testing so far.
