    In the documentation I have seen strange character combinations, I do not understand. Those are not part of the Qt documentation in Qt Assistant for instance. They seem to be in different places.

    I have just noted that they are not shown when using a text section in posting here. So maybe there is a problem with the doc section of QtDevNet.

    For example in "QLineEdit":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/doc/qt-4.7/qlineedit.html under inputMask one finds:

    @
    To get range control (e.g., for an IP address) use masks together with validators.
    @

    There are extra characters after e.g.. Here it is with extra blanks to show these characters.
    @
    To get range control (e.g & # x 2 e ; , for an IP address) use masks together with validators.
    @
