Lately, my Outlook 2013 seems to get stuck trying to resolve some external link in the automatic forum notification emails.
The address starts with "https://mandrillapp.com/track/open.php?u="...and so on.

I have to kill and restart outlook, which kinda sucks.
Until I find a client side fix, is there a way to get notification emails without external references?

@Asperamanca You can set Outlook to read them in plain text?

      For more information please re-read.

      Kind Regards,
      Artur

Unfortunately, this is a global setting and I can't seem to find a way to restrict this to a certain domain. Good suggestion, though.

@Asperamanca I have not used Outlook for years so I might be wrong but when you add sender to the address book you can select which message format is preferred from this sender only? This is per-client setting.

          For more information please re-read.

          Kind Regards,
          Artur

Sounds strange, we haven't run into this before.
Maybe @ollipuu has seen something like this before?

I have tried to do this, following these very detailed instructions: https://www.extendoffice.com/documents/outlook/2371-outlook-contact-always-send-plain-text.html
However, turns out I can only specify the preferred format for sending, not for receiving.

It is almost certainly an outlook bug (though I wonder why it appears after several years without any issues).

This type of issue really sounds strange because this never happened to me since I have been using Outlook 2013 over a year, anyhow @artwaw - you had provided great suggestion friend. Thanks! @Asperamanca still you didn't find any solution?

I have a colleague who is having similar issues when the forwarded email contains external references. In this case the references are images in our company email signature. Unfortunately, we haven't found a solution yet.

For some reason, this error has not occurred to me in the recent past. I can only suspect that something was changed on the backend.
