Any Qt Quick and QML related book in the works?

  • Hi,
Does anyone know if the Qt Quick & QML book is in the works?
    Thanks.

  • Currently, no. But i think the document is good enough :D

  • The documentation may be enough, but it lacks a real flow. After the introduction chapters it becomes a bit confusing. There are a series of topics to be read, but if the order is noted down then it may become a bit easy to learn Qt Quick.

  • Besides documentation, There are a lot of videos/e-learning "stuff":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/elearning

How to say that, i think the documents are associated, the learning steps are depending on what way you want to follow. When you have a specific question in mind, you can go to that chapter, and find you answer. Anyway, when you start coding/reading, you start to learn, nomatter what way you are followed :D

  • Qt Quick is relatively new and undergoing many changes. Writing a book at this point in time may invalidate it very fast. I guess there would be books written, but may be after stabilization of the features.
