I am creating a wiki for "Qt in Education Course Material":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/Qt_in_Education_Course_Material. I would like to upload screenshots / images to these pages." "Devnet FAQ":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/devnet_faq states that images can not be uploaded. Uploading to free image hosting sites are not reliable as they might remove(if free service is withdrawn).

Can we have a feature to upload images directly to wiki? If required it can be approved by a Troll for copyright, size, etc.. before public display.

Unfortunately, we cannot host any kind of file on our servers for now even if it made a lot of sense. I understand your concerns and we have been thinking hard how to work around this problem, also with regard to blocked content in certain countries.

The best I can come up with is some of the big players where it is not likely that they shut down the service, i.e. Ovi, Flickr or Picasa.

I would actually use the file upload interface is in this URI:
        http://www.developer.nokia.com/Community/Wiki/Special:Upload

It's a developer service from Nokia so it's more close to the DevNet than just any site.
