where can i see the list of smileys that i can add in a post? the smiling smiley works, the sad smiley doesn't ... :) :( ... how about adding a smiley icon next the the link or comment icon in the tools section?

We're actually thinking of redoing our smileys. Alexandra doesn't like how they are now and since we're old school we thought about coming up with some of our own, ASCII-but-designed-style or something.

Not going to put a whole lot of work into it, but it builds forum character :)

Saw the new smileys version, can add a bit more spice to it :) ... looks very dull compared to the whole green theme used in the forum

We want to keep them simple and to the point, there was a general agreement here that the old smileys had too much "weight" and stole eye-time from the text. So now we are old-school (pure text) yet modern (a bit of css3). Instead of "dull" I would say "balanced" :) But we're happy to hear more views!

Also if a smile is missing, like :( is not yet in.

I guess we cannot please everyone. At least we can agree on an improvement. ;)
