Wanted: QT UI Developer (UK)
-
Role
Can you imagine a new decentralised Internet, free from corporations selling your personal details and private information for their profit, where all data is secure, private and anonymous? What if this new network was comprised of the spare computing resources of the world’s Internet users and has already seen over three years of cutting edge C++ source code written for it?
The company implementing the replacement for much of the Internet’s web services is called MaidSafe and they plan a public launch of the platform later this year. This new network has generated much interest from the world’s technology press.

As the company approaches beta launch, they are looking for a front-end QT Developer, to be based at the company's HQ in Scotland, to create applications to sit on top of MaidSafe’s decentralised infrastructure.
Key Skills Required

- Familiar with UI patterns such as MVC / MVVM
- Familiar with github source control
- Good understanding of UI design concepts and a solid understanding of user experience guidelines across various platforms

This role represents an amazing opportunity to join a rapidly growing international Open Source company with big ambitions. The successful candidate will be motivated and passionate about UI development and will create some of the first desktop applications for this revolutionary new platform. As these initial applications will serve as tutorials for third party app developers, it would be a bonus if the candidate is proficient at creating succinct and lucid documentation.
In addition to the salary, the successful candidate will also become part of the employee benefit trust, an ownership scheme that currently distributes more than 25% of the company’s shares amongst a team of 15.
How to apply
