Clicking the logout button, at least for Firefox 36 and OS X 10.10, is ineffective.

After doing so, clicking on the login button and then the alternative logins check logs a user back in without the usual email and password prompt.

@jeremy_k this is due to Qt Account being the login method for the forum.

The forum logout does log you out of the forum, but you will still be logged on to Qt Account.
To log out of Qt Account, you need to go to https://login.qt.io and log yourself out from there.

The same happens on sites where you use OAuth2 authentication. You can log out of the site, but still be logged in to the authentication provider.

That would explain it. Logging out of the OAuth site but not the forum also leads to unexpected behavior. I'll lock my screen and avoid public terminals.

          That is good advice always.

Also worth mentioning here is that the site has an excellent mobile design. Works really well on the smart phones I've tried.

Not that we're terribly mobile focused lately ;)
