[solved] See what's missing in profile
-
When I look at my profile I see the progress bar that tells me e.g it's "80% complete". But the page doesn't show what I need to add to complete it. There are fields that are blank because the don't apply to me. For example, I don't have a gitorious link to provide.
How can I see what's missing to complete the profile?

Hi,
I think currently it's shown nowhere, but it could make sense to display this.
Can you create a "Jira suggestion":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/ (Jira is the bug tracking and suggestion tool) with target Qt websites? -

As far as I know it's about the data on http://developer.qt.nokia.com/member/edit_profile. I have filled in
- homepage
- location
- occupation
- interests
- bio
- irc/jabber (although it seem these are not necessary)
But Alexandra or MariusG can comment with knowledge.

Next time, you should make a small titile and a description with a link to the forum post :-)
that would help nokia people to find discussions about that topic... -
Current text is "We want to encourage you to fill in your profile, who doesn't want to have a 100% filled in progress bar anyways? You also get points. This is only visible to you."
So good point Kevin, we shall amend it so it's clear what is needed. Thanks!

Sorted now, I've added this text to the profile page pop-up/hover for the progress bar:
We want to encourage you to fill in your profile, who doesn't want to have a 100% filled in progress bar anyways? You also get points. This is only visible to you.
The details
Percentage of profile is calculated as follows when editing your profile page:
Your homepage or blog => 10%
Location => 20%
Occupation => 10%
Interests => 10%
Bio => 30%
Fill in one IM (Twitter/Skype/IRC/Gitorious/Jabber/Yahoo) => 10%
Fill in two => 20%Points are based on the above % profile completed:
20% => 5 points
50% => 10 points
80% => 15 points
100% => 20 points -
bq. We want to encourage you to fill in your profile, who doesn’t want to have a 100% filled in progress bar anyways?
Great info. I wondered about that at the time I was filling out my info, too.
However, not to nitpick, but it should be "...in your profile. Who doesn't..." :-)
