I just joined the forum and hoped to meet of with some fellow Qt Developers in the USA, but found there is no group yet. Hope to see one soon. :)

It is just a couple of points that are needed to be able to request groups. So just become involved here and you will soon be able to request your own group!

PS: Why do you think a US group is needed? I understand people who are not fluent in English to ask for their own groups, but Americans usually do not fall into that category, do they? :-)

In some discussion, people said, they want language groups, some wanted regional groups, e.g. for finding other Qt Developer sin their region or for local events etc.

That was my thinking, yes. Hence a US group would make sense.

The forums however, I try to keep to language rather than countries or regions.

Honestly, whether it's language or region is not of concern to me; I suppose I just felt left out when browsing the available groups. My thoughts on the Qt US group was to look for developers close to myself. Also to see what other Americans were sharing related to the common interest specific to the Us region. Though I know the forums are geared towards Qt development in general.

But there you go: you were looking for devs in your region. A "Qt US English" group won't help, will it? ;)
