[=b Rate this up] - Cannot rate your own content
Why? What's the point in rating threads? Do people really find interesting threads by their rating instead of typing some keywords on google because they have a problem to solve?
It's just an one-star rating system - why not? Where is you acceptance limit in a five-star system: 2.5 stars?
-
So why can't the opening poster of a topic rate that topic up then? I mean, if I get an excellent answer to my question, why help make that usefulness visible to other by rating it up?
warm up Why can't the OP rate his/her "own thread" without earning points?
-
IMVHO it would agree that rating your own post would make sense
I personally would not care who gets any points but I would find it quite useful:- if I could show my appreciation for a useful reply
- if i could rate the quality of the answer when marking a post as solved

The bugtracer does have a nice search ;-)
Have a look at "QTWEBSITE-134":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-134
It was mentioned a lot in some forum threads here. QTWEBSITE is still below 200 issues[1] - yet quite easy to search through :-) :-)
fn1. I'm doing my best to change this :-)
For the DevNet component we're at just 39 issues, and most are suggestions. You guys are few steps ahead of us but we're getting there :)
