The basic rules of the Devnet forum also apply to this group/forum.

      See "http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/ForumHelp":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/ForumHelp

Small note: There are infinite possibilities that mobile apps can achieve to the Indian people and the environment here. The field is totally untapped. Nokia is the leading mobile device player here and Qt is the best possible cross platform development framework probably available.

This group has just been created and look forward to more activities here.

Why should be using groups for these discussions. Since they are of common interest to everyone working on Qt around the world.

The forum is open to anyone and it's a normal forum, you can find it in the Forum overview like any other. So you get the best of both worlds. :)

I am new to Qt. I have downloaded and installed Nokia Qt SDK.

I am already going through following link
                http://qt.nokia.com/developer/learning/online/training

and also started reading tutorials online. But if you have any specific examples which can help me learn things faster...u know like examples which cover key aspects..then let me know

Hi rohitvk, welcome to Qt India forum

I found the demos that ship with Qt Sdk to cover a wide variety of topics and a very good starting point.

You can also read the well known book C++ GUI Programming with Qt 4. First edition available online free at "http://www.qtrac.eu/marksummerfield.html":http://www.qtrac.eu/marksummerfield.html

more reference materials found in this "link for c++ and Qt books":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/Books_and_Links_for_learning_C_and_advanced_topics

                    Hello chetan,

How about a meetup if possible. I do realize that we all are from different cities but still, can something be done?

                    Sri

                            Hello Everyone,
Merry Christmas to all of you. I just signup in this community and looking to dive deeper in qt development cycle.
@chetankJain: I saw, you are quite active in this community. I might need your help some times. For the time being, i am going to start with available tutorials and referring some books. I have some plan to participate in Qt Examinations.
So what is the best way to move ahead, if i could prepare my self within next 6 months.
