Today we pushed the Groups feature out to the live servers, please see the blog post here:

    http://developer.qt.nokia.com/blog/view/beta_of_the_groups_feature_is_now_live_looking_for_feedback

bq. Please use http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE for reporting issues. But feel free to discuss them in the beta forum first; things tend to get clarified that way and we really like discussing your ideas before they move over to bugreports.qt.nokia.com.

Have you had a look yet? :)

Some groups are clearly open to the community, but it appears some groups are restricted. Is that true? How can one tell the difference?

The group moderators can decide, if the group is open or not. This contains: auto-join or manual approve, open forum or closed forum (I thnik private forum is possible). Whether that is possible for the wiki I don't know.

I think that's mostly because the settings default to manual approval and some of the group owners didn't change that yet. Maybe the default should be changed?

[Suggestion] Improve the navigation for groups. Sometimes I had to give up and resumed clicking on "GROUPS":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/groups
For instance, "here":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewforum/30/ is a group oriented navigation extremely important.

[suggestion] Adding the ability to group owners to create forum categories, subforums. For example for translations in regional forums, or events and etc. ("it was originally mentiond here":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/2866/#17988)

                      ["Suggestion":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-157]
Show the group icon on the group page, like on "this":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/groups/qt_netherlands page.
