[404 Error] Qt downloads Links
-
Hello,
I don't know if I'm posting in the right section but "Found a bug on this website?" seems to be the right place.Download link for Qt Libraries are all down (Qt 5 beta1 is 404 too).
And why not give users the ability to download it with torrents ? (on a public tracker like openbittorrent)
It would be great in that case.Thank you,
Nontenda -
The best place is the "bug tracker":http://bugreports.qt-project.org/
The admins here might be able to do something about the issue, I don't know. I'll reported your post, that way they are certain to see this.

Still got the same problem, we're unable to download the Qt libraries.
The link bugreports.qt-project.org is broken too, it redirects to qt-project.org ;)

Tobias' link should redirect to https://bugreports.qt-project.org/secure/Dashboard.jspa . It worked for me.
The downloads at http://qt-project.org/downloads also worked for me.
It might be a browser or router or DNS issue for you...?

Huh, someone reported a similar issue at around the same time as Compizfox at http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/22152/
Maybe there was an issue earlier, which is resolved now; could you try again?

OK, Firefox is indeed the problem. Very weird, I don't know how a browser can influence a link.
In Firefox, for example, http://releases.qt-project.org/qt4/source/qt-win-opensource-4.8.3-vs2010.exe rewrites to https://qt-project.org/qt4/source/qt-win-opensource-4.8.3-vs2010.exe

In the other thread, the poster identified the problem: the HTTPS Everywhere plugin was redirecting to the wrong address. Are you running that? If so, disabling it temporarily should resolve your issue.
I also recommend filing a bug report with the maintainers of HTTPS Everywhere.

[quote author="Gurudutt" date="1353923609"]I have tested it here in FF, Chrome and IE and all works fine as expected.
Can you provide more detail about it/Firefox , are you using VPN or may be proxy or some DNS issue , are you logged in or browsing site with httpS ?

It's an issue involving a 3rd-party plugin (HTTPS Everywhere). See https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTWEBSITE-480 -
I guess the main problem here is : https://gitweb.torproject.org/https-everywhere.git/blob_plain/HEAD:/src/chrome/content/rules/Qt.xml
Of course this is a issue with 3rd party plugin may be needs to be reported.
I am checking all possibility if it is possible to fix it ourside.
