I just saw "Microsoft Visual Studio LightSwitch Beta 1":http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/en-us/lightswitch. I downloaded it, and it is great! You can easily create database applications, with extremely few lines of code. Not only that, but you can access the application from a browser, too! And it makes itself an installer without any extra work to install the database and client application, or to install it on a web server. You can see it in action "Here":http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lightswitch/ff938857.aspx.
I think it would be nice if there was something like this for Qt. It can use an open source SQL database, eg. MySQL, instead of MSSQL.

I agree something like this might be nice. However, it seems like an opportunity for a third-party commercial or community project, rather than a Nokia Qt project. I'd hate to see Qt development resources go toward it. It should be possible to build something like LightSwitch on top of Qt without core changes, and there are many other advancements for the Trolls to work on, which would help the larger Qt community.
