    Hey Jon & Axel!
I trust this message finds you well.

I just ran into an issue. Today I downloaded the Qt Online Installer for Linux (64-bit) file qt-unified-linux-x64-4.7.0-online.run for downloading Qt open-source version on my Ubuntu machine.

I ran chmod +X qt-unified-linux-x64-4.7.0-online.run command to give it execute permissions but it's not working. I ran the command even with root permissions but still the file is not getting execute permission.

I remember this command worked very well with the qt-unified-linux-x64-4.6.0-online.run.

Could you please help me out of this as I have reinstalled a fresh version of OS on my machine and I need to download Qt in it :)

@Ash-V it's a small 'x'. As you can see your chmod command did nothing

Qt Online Installer direct download: https://download.qt.io/official_releases/online_installers/

@Ash-V Under Linux never type a capital/upper-case letter unless you have a very good reason for doing so.
