In your new role you will:
Develop a frontend for Infineon’s in-house analog circuit simulator
Develop and constantly optimize the simulator’s schematic editor and waveform viewer to achieve maximum performance, widen its feature set while keeping its maintainability
Improve existing frontend software modules including refactoring and maintenance of existing code
Support our worldwide user community
Write technical documentation
Participate in EU-funded projects that are actively pursuing topics relevant to Infineon-internal simulation communitiesYour profile:
An Infineon user is your first priority – we want to develop functionalities that help in the daily micro-chip development process. Therefore, it is important to ‘translate’ user requirements into specifications – while having an eye for the details. As we are working in a team, but also in standalone projects, you should bring flexibility in your working style as well as good self-management.
Additionally, you are best equipped for this task if you have:A degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related areas
Multiple years of work experience in GUI software development or electronic design automation (EDA) area or a related technical area
Very good programming skills with focus on Qt and C++/C in a Windows and UNIX environment
Very good knowledge about UI development environments, libraries (e.g., Boost, …), build environments (CMake, QMake…), parsers/scanners (bison, flex, …) and interpreted programing languages (Python, Perl, …)
Some hands-on experience with analog circuit design and simulation, ideally also familiarity with other simulators such as LTspice, SIMetrix, PSpice, etc. is a benefit
In the best case, already previous experience in frontend development for a circuit simulator
Familiarity with agile software development techniques
Fluent English skills with German seen as a plus -
