OpenID login does not support XRI(OpenID 2.0)

Trying to associate an XRI OpenID(=raf) to my account fails with the following message:

bq. OpenID error
Authentication error; not a valid OpenID.

Is this a bug, or don't you support OpenID 2.0?

The "libraries":http://www.janrain.com/openid-enabled we use don't seem to support i-names 100% yet, we have added "an issue ":http://github.com/openid/php-openid/issues/issue/28 on their github project but have to wait for them to resolve it before we can claim support for i-names here.
