Just wondering, has any thought been given to the idea of being able to opt out of certain forums in searches and update notifications, etc.? With the increase in language-specific forums, it would be nice to be able to flag them so they don't show up in the global list.

(Not that I don't want to be involved, it's just that I'm not that much of a polyglot :-) )

I agree. Besides language sub-forums, the topics of the sub-forums are less than 50. While
some sections are huge, such as "General and Desktop", should be opt

          Hi mlong,

this is a very good idea. could you create a "JIRA":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa issue for that and post the link here and there please?

            Hi mlong,

I am also in favor of this idea.

We definitely have this feature request in the wish list - but it requires that the forum software vendor makes it. So it's out of our hands for now, the Q&A-type forum features will come first.

So, just for clarity, a JIRA issue isn't needed then?

Would be useful for voting I guess, but it's well covered in our internal tracker. I'm reminded of it every time I see a language I don't understand in the new post search :)

Hi, I was also looking for a solution to opt out some grand topics. When this is possible, could it be possible to divide General and Desktop topic to: General, Desktop, QWidgets, or only General, QWidgets/Desktop. I'm a mobile developer, and very rarely use QWidgets anymore, so it would be nice to opt out from them, but still receive the "General" part mostly including things from QtCore which is still very important to me :)
