Not sure how easy it is to implement, but I find this will be very user friendly.

Suppose I search for "tapgesture", I find results page with 4 tabs -> QTDN, Wiki, Forum, FAQ .. but when I click on each of these tabs, I find the results were not available in FAQ, then why show that tab? The result could be missing in more than one tab too. The user doesn't have to click there if it ain't gonna help.

Can such tabs with 0 results be intelligently hidden or disabled during search.

It's the Google Custom Search service that generates those, we can have a look.
