on this page :
http://developer.qt.nokia.com/doc/qt-4.7/
there are some links in the Qt tools area :Qt Creator
Qt Designer Manual
Qt Linguist Manual
Qt Assistant Manual
Qt qmake Manual
Qt Simulator
Eclipse Integration
Add-On Products and Services
Virtual Framebuffersome of them point to
http://developer.qt.nokia.com eg. "Qt Designer Manual" which is as expected.
other point to
http://doc.qt.nokia.com eg. "Qt Creator" . There you don't get the possibility to add notes, tag .....is this work in progress or is it good I mention it here?

We have a copy of the Qt 4.7 documentation here on the devnet, it's in "beta" while we work out the kinks and gather feedback. As you can see it's not even in the navigation yet. The official documentation for Qt is still at doc.qt.nokia.com.
Since we only carry the Qt 4.7 documentation you will see links to the traditional doc.qt.nokia.com for the things you listed above that is not part of the 4.7 documentation, like the tools documentation. We plan to carry Qt 4.8, Qt 5.0+ and possibly Qt 4.6 here at the devnet. Our content "engine" for documentation is based on the DITA format, so in theory we can carry any documentation made available in that format. See the blog post by Morten for more info on that: http://labs.qt.nokia.com/2011/06/15/the-qt-documentation-has-made-it-into-devnet/
Over the summer we will try new things with the documentation. Since the official version of the Qt doc is somewhere else (for now) we can go a bit "crazy" and experiment without causing problems for day to day use of Qt. Open feedback is the key here, as always.
Once we're all comfortable with the "new" documentation format we will have redirects from doc.qt.nokia.com.
This is several months away, we want to do this slowly and carefully. We have a great deal of respect for the importance of documentation as your everyday tool to get stuff done.

Thanks Marius for the insights. I was wondering how difficult it must be to maintain 2 docs. And it is!
i just filed a bug report as Gerolf suggested :
http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-249
so you can ignore it and close it immediately. It seemed only strange to me that Qt Creator links are pointing to the traditional docs and Qt Designer points to the devnet docs. That's why i posted.
Cheers
PS : do you work all weekend, or is it a hobby? ;)

Qt Creator and the Qt SDK have their own sets of documentation, while the other tools have their documentation baked in with Qt 4.7.

I enjoy surfing around here and posting when I can be of help. Sadly I'm not a Qt developer so I can only watch when mad scientists like Gerolf here, and others, patrol the forum and solves actual problems :)
During the weekend there is always something going on around here, my inbox is a testament to a passion for Qt in the team that goes a bit further than 9-5. ;)
