http://blog.qt.nokia.com/2011/09/12/qt-project/It took a bit of time, but it looks like it is really going to happen!

Beautiful.
Blogs are silent on some technical details (like, when and if current mailing lists and git repos will be phased out), but in general - good news! Just a single more month of waiting. I'm not being sarcastic, mind, although it may sound like I am.

sierdzio: We are already using the gerrit based model for a while internally. I think this approach works pretty well, at least much better than the merge requests we need you guys to do now. I am really looking forward to 17th of October:-)
Gerrit does act as a git server, too, so I think that is where the cutting edge code will end up at.

Cool, good to know! Does not quite answer my question (I was more interested in dates), but, well, it's still more than a month, so maybe I am craving for info a bit too much and too early. Take your time. And you probably want to save some spicy details for DevDays :D
Anyway - good news, the whole idea seems well thought and designed.

Oh, by the way: Andre, there's a typo in the thread's subject ("launced“).

Given the choice... I'd rather have all the spicy details out well before DevDays, so the Qt community can get deeper into actual / equal discussions in Munich. :)
