Yes Qt 4.7.3 is included for Desktop and Symbian (see, for example, "here":http://www.allaboutmeego.com/news/item/12759_Qt_SDK_Release_Candidate.php)

Why does forum Nokia have a newer version of Qt then the Qt sites itself? I suppose this is a typo?

                  It's a release candidate :-)

4.7.3 stand alone libs will drop out soon, I'd guess...

I have just started Update Qt SDK and a long list of updates appeared with Qt 4.7.3 on the list (for Symbian and Desktop).

                    Anyway Qt is Nokia...

Qt 4.7 will be supported from 5th Edition Symbian devices only. So no QML on 3rd edition devices :(.

Developers will now have to release different builds for these editions.

Why is that at FN the size mentioned for offline installer is 1 GB and in prereleases sections its 1.5 GB.

No idea, the file size is 1 571 844 KB so I'm sticking with 1.5 GB :)

Does anybody know if it is worth downloading the SDK for Linux if I want to target Symbian? And no, remote compiler is not an option!

I have just installed the SDK on my laptop, and noticed that is Ginormous. It weighs in a whopping 5 GB! And no, I did not even install everything. And I was thinking the previous SDK's were large...

You have to setup your own Symbian build environment on Linux. The SDK won't do that for you. I've written about the process a couple of weeks ago.

I suggest a zip download as an addition to the existing online and offline installers.
Both fail for me - they either freeze or pop up errors. Same with the beta, same with the TP.

It seems that it doesn't freeze, it's just that it's incredibly slow at startup. It's been running for 20 minutes now and is at 50%. It frequently block while writing specific files. I've also gotten multiple write warnings that go away if I press retry.

The cpu was used at 20-80%, RAM is not a problem and I'm using an SSD, MSE antivirus is running in the background. e.g: I've installed Visual Studio 2010 on this PC without any issues.
