Qt Certifications still under development

Hello there. Is there any approximate date for the return of certificates? I am switching careers and having one would be helpful. Thank you for help.

The "old" Qt dev certifications are still available via test centers (see more here: https://www.qt.io/community/qt-certification/). However, these are based on Qt 5. We are working on certification renewal. Unfortunately, there's no date for the new certification/test release yet. However, we are hoping to finalize the renewal by summer.

The Qt5 exams have been apparently taken down from Pearson Vue. I really just need to do the retake then I have all three exams done. Can you tell me if this is a bug at Pearson Vue or deliberate - maybe due to the upcoming Qt6 version?

We are in the process of renewing the certificates and the test taking process. At the moment, we are not having any certificate tests available due to the renewing process. Unfortunately the renewal process has taken longer than we expected. However, the plan is to have the previous tests available after the renewal, and you can then take the missing certificate.

Thankyou Emilia_Qt - My retake voucher has now expired. Would I still be able to get another voucher? When will I approx. be able to retake to final Qt Quick exam, I am getting worried that after learning intensively for the last year I might start forgetting the stuff I learned at the beginning, especially the stuff I never use at work, for example Android and Sensors or Location Modules?

Update: the support ticket (Nr. 00570700) with Qt ended in a dead end. The Pearson Vue specialist team told me that the old Qt5 exams are still there but need to be enabled by Qt ("no acces permission is set by the certificate holder"). The test center also found the Qt 5 exams in their system. In my Pearson Vue dashboard the exams are no longer visible.
Therefore, my request to you, ~please~ reactivate the exams so that I can finally retake the third and final Qt Quick UI exam. Regards.

Update: Regarding my retake voucher, Pearson Vue specialist team wrote:
Dear Neil,

Thank you for contacting Pearson VUE!

We would be happy to assist you. As per our information, we have provided you with the voucher on 04/10/2024. The last registration for the exam code 023-001, Qt Quick UI, expired on 06/10/2024.

This discount code must be used before the expiration date of the voucher or the exam's last registration date.

unfortunately we are not able to reactivate the tests. What comes to your retake voucher, it is completely up to Pearson/Test Center to issue refunds or similar.

As mentioned, the new testing platform is in the development and we are aiming to get it live by the end of the year. I understand your challenging situation, and I will send you an email regarding the test, if you wish to take one, in the upcoming new platform.

good morning Emilia, since I need to certify Qt with the "021-002 Widget UI and Application Engine with Qt" and "010-003 Qt and QML Essentials", some teams that I manage by the end of 2024, can I trust that the test sessions for Qt 5 will be available again by the end of this year?

Hi @Polimar75, we are working to get the new certificate tests (and the tests you mentioned) out by the end of the year. However, it is challenging to estimate the exact timeline and therefore I cannot make any promises.
