I regulary see questions posted on using Qt with third party components, or with questions on such Qt based components. Perhaps we should put those in a forum of their own?

Hmmmm. I don't know. Doesn't it make more sense to keep the questions in the forum dedicated to the platform the components are used on? Or wouldn't that affect the answer?

It could make sense for a seperate forum, as those questions are sometimes not really Qt releated. And it would seperate Core from add ons etc.

I am not sure I follow what you are saying here.

Perhaps I did not make myself clear. We get questions here on using Qwt, for instance. Qwt is of course Qt based, so I guess it kinda makes sense that we get questions like these. We also get questions on how to integrate lib X (not really Qt based) with Qt, such as the OpenVT questions posted in the last couple of days. It is these kinds of questions I was talking about.

I see. I think we're talking past each other here.

            My thinking is the following:
Someone wants to use a 3rd party for a project on a certain platform. I assume, there are different add-ons that solve different problems on the various platforms, embedded vs desktop for example.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be difficult here. All I do is figuring out if the add-on questions do not make most sense in the platform forums. Particularly, if they are about integrating lib foo with a certain Qt based project.
