Currently the languages are listed in probably the order of their creation. As the list grows, lets make it easier to get to the language one wants. How about just sorting them in say English alphabetic order? Of course since English is the preferred wiki language, lets keep English as first link and the rest sorted.

Good idea. But how to sort in the languages in non-latin charset? Would it be a good idea to add an English translation in parentheses after the native notation?

Hope this will not be needed, when the Translations really coma as a "wiki dimension". I recognize, there were discussions about that, shouldn't it come some time?

Yep, I'm in talks with the company making the wiki software about getting that prioritized. Doing it our self is not realistic so it's the way to go, even though it will take some time.

You have the pages (dimension one)
each page has several instances of itself (language --> dimension2)

currently translations are separate pages, which means they are in parallel, you can't automate languages --> flags etc.

Another benefit: If we rename a translated page now chaos ensures, a language dimension will take care of that.

Is there an option to include ("transclude") wiki pages? Or is there a template capability? This would make sorting easy.

                    Sorry, but what is "transclude"?

This is the terminus that wikipedia/mediawiki uses. It's just like including (wiki) source code.

I started another thead dedicated to inclusion/"transclusion"/Templates:
                        "template feature for QtDN wikis":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/4373/
...and sorry for hijacking this thread ;-)
