but that keyboard is awesome for gamming!!!
Hoping to hit 100 Qt videos by teh end of summer, but I have things to do with work.
Applied for the Qt ambasador, not word back but I remain optimistic.
-
Made this post a "sticky" since rootshell is pure awesome.
-
Rootshell thanks a lot for the good videos :) I'm a complete newbie in the programming with GUI (I have only programmed online systems with PHP) and your videos helped me understand a lot of things :)
-
I just found about this videos, I'm impressed. Congratulations rootshell, they are very nice !!!
-
Wow these videos are excellent! Thanks for taking the time to make them.
-
That's a good idea. Thanks!
Maybe you could add this as a wiki page?
2 more to go and voidrealms hits the 100!
-
Great, thanks,
You could put a link here and everybody will follow you ;)
-
Out of interest what tools do you use to record these videos please?
-
I have checked out your videos, they are excellent source of learning for beginners. I should probably do something like this just to give back something to the community.
-
I have watched quite a few of these videos and just would like to say thank you for all your efforts in making them. Keep up the great work.

@rootshell thanks for your tutorials. They are great.
I too have had problems on finding good learning material for starting Qt for Symbian development. That is why I have decide to create few videos that deal with that subject. Currently there is only Hello world app explained. Any advice to would be appreciated. I am not a native speaker so I have provided subtitles. You can find videos here:Channel

yay finally hit 100 videos!
Thanks for all the feed back, I feel I have learned alot over the last year -
Sincere thank you rootshell for your work and your time.
Absolutely not to be underestimated : using the strength of video tutorial you easily introduce beginners and geeks to the power/ease of use of Qt (and maybe bringing potential new clients).
The documentation it's the rule but the initial and fast imprinting brought by videos it's the mainspring to approach the framework for beginners, programmer with short time or the simply curious.
I agee with you about the lacking of a true "official technical set" of Qt video tutorials.
Glad to know you can improve your skills too by user's and critic's feedbacks!
So more teaching and more learning! -
Nice video tutorials, learning a lot.. Thanks a ton..
-
You are awesome! These tutorials are just great!
The bad thing is that when you are searching for beginner tutorials fro Qt your videos dont come up. The reason I'm saying this is because for a month I searched and searched and nothing until a day that I wasn't even looking for tutorials boom these awesome videos poped up. Great!!!
Keep up the good work.

Do you have access to public trackers, like the pirate bay for example?
-
Im sorry I know little about that,But maybe I can try.
Qt is really not a easy job for me,Im getting mad. -
Been taking a break from making videos, had to switch jobs, get a CCNA certification and I took a managment position...not to mention a lot of construction on my house.
Been really wanting to make more videos for a while now, but one thing that always bothered me was what xie_jiuan008 was addressing, not everyone can get on youtube.
There has been a huge (in my humble opinion) outcry for the videos to be released on bit torrent or some other downloadable method.
Due to bandwidth limitations at my house, I have been looking at places other then youtube to host the videos, maybe "Archive.org":http://www.Archive.org
Anyone have ideas?
Another challenge is the video codec is a windows specific codec, part of why i choose youtube is they re-encode the video.
