Any need to make this one into a suggestion on qt bugs? This would a good enhancement to have...
I am still not clear if it matters or not to create the suggestions on bugreports once it seems that they all end on mariusg lap anyway (mariusg: I hope you are not tired of suggestions :) ) Please advice!

I'm the filter for all bug reports and suggestions, and I can only say "the more the better" - it's the "material" we build this site with - so to speak. :)
Having them in JIRA is best but I can pick them up from the forum as well. During Project Elf I've been thinking about requesting people to use JIRA more - due to the high traffic on the forums and that I might miss something otherwise.

Has anybody added this one to the bug reports? Mariusg? I will if nobody has ....
I will add another thread for this but I would suggest that the admins should close threads as soon as there is a reference to a bug report being created on JIRA. This way all the comments will be redirected to the bug reports system - I can only imagine that keeping track of comments on two places is not feasible for the developers working on them.

nice point fcrochik, pls go ahead and log a but in jira and post the id here, we could probably just close this. i agree no point in tracking in 2 places. we first discuss/brainstorm here and push to jira

This is the bug report:
http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-132Another "behavior" suggestion is that when someone creates a bug report based on a devnet thread he/she should make sure to add a link back to the thread on the bug report.

i would recommend updating the bugtracker with all required/relevant info so developers don't have to go hunting in other links/threads. the forum might have not of additional and non relevant info too in the same thread ... developers don't have to shuffle through some 20 replies for a thread to understand what is happening.

That would be ideal but I think having the link will never hurt... As a developer I like to have as much context information I can before deciding to act on.... Of course noise doesn't help!
I would like to have the link and the relevant information but don't want to make too difficult for people to file bugs or they may end up not doing it.

mariusg, back again on the same thing, once someone posts a reply to a post, the feed does not have the author of the reply, my Google reader shows the original post author and not the replier ... should that be fixed by sending the replier in the author tag?
