    I have searched through and read a lot of forum discussions, about translations and naming translated pages, which needs a lot of time and still very confusing. Maybe if there will be a convention, I will set up a wiki page to make clear our rules to everyone.

    But here is my current problem:

    I've just translated the "Qt Creator Wiki page ":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/Category:Tools::QtCreator to "Hungarian":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/CategoryToolsQtCreator_Hungarian . Its URL is http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/Category:Tools::QtCreator, which is okay, but I would prefer ...wiki/QtCreator. Everyone named his translation as our not official rule: 'base_Language', which is okay, if there is no ':' in the name.

    But now it's header looks like this:

    English [[Category:Tools::QtCreator_German|Deutsch]] [[Category:Tools::QtCreator_Spanish|Español]] [[Category:Tools::QtCreator_Portuguese|Português]] [[Category:Tools::QtCreator_Russian|Русском]] [[CategoryToolsQtCreator_Italian|Italiano]] [[CategoryToolsQtCreator_Hungarian|Magyar]]

    So at the bottom there is a few extra unrelevant categories, because some didn't remove the ':' -s.

    Categories:
    Tools
    QtCreator
    QtCreator German
    QtCreator Portuguese
    QtCreator Russian
    QtCreator Spanish

    Please some of the admins rename these pages, and I want to ask users about urls that set its categories too, because I don't like them recently because of this incident. What do you think?

      VCsala suggested a solution to our problem ("in this Hungarian forum thread":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/2846/), which is to take an extra colon (:) before the category links, so the Qt Creator wiki Hungarian page's header looks like this now:

      [[:Category:Tools::QtCreator|English]] [[:Category:Tools::QtCreator_German|Deutsch]] [[:Category:Tools::QtCreator_Spanish|Español]] [[:Category:Tools::QtCreator_Portuguese|Português]] [[:Category:Tools::QtCreator_Russian|Русском]] [[CategoryToolsQtCreator_Italian|Italiano]] Magyar

      Now the Category links work like charm. :) Thanks VCsala!

      But my question is still alive about urls that set its categories too. Opinions?

        I think the Trolls should apply pretty URLs on the wiki pages for example the URL can become:

        http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/Category/Tools/QtCreator

          I think http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/QtCreator or http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/Tools/QtCreator would be better, so I'd leave the Category from the URL.

            I think it would be better to file a feature request "here.":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE

              It took some time to get to know Bugtracker and read through some threads connected, but finally I've managed to make this issue as a suggestion in the BugTracker.

              You can reach it "here":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-152.

                Perfect! Now we have to wait until the next iteration because they are having lots of bugs submitted by us here :)

                  Yeah, and not everyone is back from the holidays I think, but it's okay :)

                    Let me shed some light on the syntax issue here.

                    [[Category:Tools::QtCreator_Spanish|Español]] will create a sub-category "QtCreator_Spanish" within the category "Tools" and display "Español" as clickable link. The page this is used in will be automatically sorted into said sub-category

                    [[:Category:Tools::QtCreator_Spanish|Español]] will only link to the sub-category.

                    It looks exactly the same on the page, so it's easy to confuse. :)
