    Hi.

MediaWiki has the <nowiki> markup to avoid that a small piece is interpreted by the wiki engine. This way, you can write

@(...) to add a page to the category foo, write [[Category:foo]] at the end or the beggining of the page@

Right now is a little bit confusing, since you have to write [ [ Category:foo ] ], to avoid the parser, and is confusing the reader (you have to explain that the spaces have to be removed).

Any idea if textile supports that? The only "reference":http://rpc.textpattern.com/help/?item=intro that seems the "original" one it's not very complete. :( And our wiki page is based on that.

Yes, please. I've run into that exact category problem myself when learning the wiki syntax.

Similar issues are there in forum too. Say you cannot write Symbian caret 3 .

Mmm, it seems that the title of the post triggered a bug: in "my latest threads", the title of this topic is "Don't parse this ()", with the <nowiki> missing.

I was wondering what nowiki meant. :)

This would help explaining things to other users, good suggestion!
